SHORT, FLEXIBLE AND TO THE POINT...
Due to increasing demand, Peak have developed the Large Bore Gauge Hanger to carry downhole data acquisition technology, which has made significant advancements in recent times with Acoustic & Electromagnetic transmission of pressure & temperature data becoming extremely reliable. Unlike dedicated profile or no-go type locking devices, the Peak Gauge Hanger has been specifically designed to set anywhere within the tubing for pin-point data acquisition. Utilising the patented Peak SIM Lock Running Tool, the Hanger can be set 100% mechanically on slickline using the drag spring & radial indexing mechanism. The Gauge Hanger has also been designed with flexibility in mind and can be deployed on E-Line, Coiled Tubing or pyrotechnically using Slickline Firing System. The device is extremely short measuring 4ft (1.2m) in length with an effective length of 6.9ft (2.1m) when made up to the Running Tool. The slickline toolstring is made up of a simple Stem & Spang Jar arrangement with no requirement for complicated or long toolstring configurations. The Peak Large Bore Gauge Hanger is not restricted to conveying modern technology. It can also be used to carry traditional pressure / temperature gauges for acquiring static bottom hole pressure or flowing gradient data. The large through bore improves flow rate compared to standard type lock mandrels and conventional hanging devices. The applications for the Large Bore Gauge Hanger can be extended to include an anchoring device as a platform for Stack-Up type Perforating Guns, Sampling Tools, Swellable Packers for permanent zonal isolation and to also provide a barrier to prevent unwanted movement of abandoned equipment in flowing wells.
