New Appointment - Colin McHardy

Date: 30/09/09

Peak are very pleased to announce the appointment of Colin McHardy to the Peak team. Colin takes up an Executive role within Peak as Engineering Research & Development Manager and will be based in Aberdeen, Scotland. The move sees Colin partnering up, once again, with Peak Engineering Director, Dave Manson. Dave and Colin spent many years working together at Petroline and during their time rolled out a significant number of patented, leading edge designs which drove a quantum change in the well intervention sector and substantially raised the profile of wireline technology. Colin is regarded as one of the most accomplished design engineers in the well intervention / completions sector of the oil & gas industry and his design success to date can be measured by the number of secure patents where he is named as Inventor or Co-Inventor and even to a greater extent measured by the designs which are still commonly in use today and have added substantial value to the industry. Namely the Petroline (Weatherford) Expandable Sand Screen, QX Uniset Lock System & Retrievable Bridge Plug range. Colin’s experience in Completion component design strengthens Peak’s capacity in this area as the company broadens its portfolio in this direction. Initially Colin will focus on high end design in addition to directly supporting Peak’s Solution business in the UK. Colin’s appointment will take effect immediately and he can be contacted on: c.mchardy@peakwellservices.com
