SPECIALIST wireline tool manufacturer Peak Well Services is expanding from its Australian base to establish a new office in Aberdeen in line with the global growth of its operations and to provide close support to clients. With Peak having new and growing business in the UK, west Africa and Russia, the Aberdeen office is the latest step in enhancing its international reach. Peak Well Services has developed more than 30 innovative tools for the well-intervention market. Manu-facture is at five machine shops in Perth, Australia. While the new Aberdeen office will initially be responsible for providing sales support in the UK, the rest of Europe and Africa, there are plans to replicate the Australian business model in the UK, including engineering and manufacturing capacity. Director of Peak Well Services Kim Gardiner said: "Opening an office in Aberdeen is a natural step for us. Over the past 18 months we have significantly expanded our international sales and the North Sea is a major part of that expansion. "The UK will provide new well challenges and as such, require new ways of solving them." Regional sales manager in Aberdeen Scott Mitchell added: "The North Sea is an ideal environment for the products we supply and I am sure the office will be a great success. "We already have good relationships with a number of major operators in the region and we will be looking to build on these." Peak Well Services, which was established in Perth, Australia in 2003 as a subsidiary of the Peak Group, is a specialist design, manufacture and service-support company to the offshore oil and gas industry.
